Six Flags Great Adventure Dolphin Tank

Six Flags maintenance workers were faced with transforming a corroding pool into a safe, repaired, and attractive dolphin tank. Due to the rusted re-bar and the deteriorating concrete, restoring the tank seemed an impossible feat. Because concrete will not bond to itself again during repair, it meant that the concrete would have to be replaced entirely as well as removing and replacing the re-bar.

Kimberly Clark

June 2001

At Kimberly Clark’s paper mill, piping was leaking. Despite the fact that the stainless steel piping was coated with other epoxies and coal tar coatings, the wet paper slurry had created a thriving environment for a microbial attack. The microbial attack resulted in tiny pinholes causing the stainless steel piping to leak. The maximum piping life in this corrosive environment was only six months.

Cooling Tower Leak Repair

July 1994

The cooling tower for an office building in Richardson, Texas was leaking hundreds of gallons of water and needed to be replaced. While the office building was closed over July fourth weekend in 1996, the repair crew had 48 hours to repair the leaks in the basin, completely recoat the inside and outside of the basin and the entire structure, including insulated piping and hot boxes, and in the end, to return the structure to full operating status.
